Pub Station’s new ballroom scheduled to open in January

When the Pub Station opened inside the old downtown bus depot on the day before Thanksgiving in 2014, Sean Lynch hoped to be able to expand into the larger, rear portion of the depot within five years. The Pub Station has been so well received that he and his wife and business partner, Ann Kosempa, are planning to put on their first show in the venue’s new ballroom in early January. Doc Harper’s adds a splash to downtown Billings

A week later than planned, Doc Harper’s martini bar had a “soft opening” Wednesday, throwing open its doors at 4 p.m. By 5, the place was jumping, with nearly every seat on the main level taken and more people sitting in the mezzanine. “I called some friends and texted some kids, that’s all,” Barb Harper said. “I’m amazed at all the people here.” (more…) Continue Reading →

Slightly off schedule, Pub Station throws open doors

One day later than planned, the Pub Station opened for business Wednesday night. Owners Sean Lynch and Ann Kosempa had been shooting for a Tuesday night opening and had booked two bands, Har Mar Superstar and the Pizza Underground. Young blood, new energy fuel downtown renaissance

Like a lot of people born and raised in Billings, Matt Blakeslee was used to looking to other cities for arts, culture and entertainment generally.
