Third-party supporters gather for mid-week ‘throwdown’

About 75 people turned out Wednesday night for a “Third Party Throwdown” at Yellowstone Valley Brewing Co.’s Garage Pub, but it seems safe to say that neither Gary Johnson nor Jill Stein was the main attraction. Johnson-Weld campaign opens Billings office

The Gary Johnson presidential campaign has opened a statewide office at 2624 Minnesota Ave. in Billings. Johnson, the Libertarian candidate for president, has been running at about 9 percent to 15 percent in recent polls. With the two least popular candidates ever nominated by the major parties, Libertarians think this might be their year. Johnson must run at 15 percent in the polls to be included in presidential debates. Continue Reading →

I said two weeks ago that there was always something on an election ballot that made me feel good about voting. This year, there were two things in particular: voting against the legislative referendum that would have ended Election Day voter registration and voting for state Supreme Court Justice Mike Wheat.
