‘Southern-inspired’ comfort food served at Sassy Biscuit

When she decided to open a new restaurant, Jilan Hall-Johnson said, her goal was to offer something “completely different from anything you’ve ever had in Billings.” A glance at the menu of The Sassy Biscuit Company, which is in the midst of a soft opening this week at 115 N. 29th St. in downtown Billings, would seem to suggest that she has accomplished her mission. One Big Sky project update focuses on funding for study

Lawsuit says former judge illegally ordered man’s arrest

A Yellowstone County man who claims a judge illegally ordered his arrest is now suing that judge, and the officer who arrested him, in federal court. In a lawsuit filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Billings, Miguel Angel Reynaga Hernandez claims that former Yellowstone County Justice of the Peace Pedro Hernandez violated his civil rights when he ordered sheriff’s deputy Derrek Skinner to arrest him, despite the fact that Reynaga had not committed a crime. Rocky lecture series looks at civility in contentious times
