It was warm, for one thing. The National Weather Service observation station at the airport listed the high as 81 degrees, but the scoreboard at Dehler Park said 90 at mid-afternoon, and two downtown businesses had time and temperature signs pegging the heat at 89 and 91. All those felt about right.<\/p>\n<p>And it was beautiful, with deep-blue skies and snow-white clouds scudding across the sky all day long. Just like summer.
