{"id":20944,"date":"2018-01-11T12:47:43","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T19:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lastbestnews.com\/site\/?p=20944"},"modified":"2018-01-11T12:47:43","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T19:47:43","slug":"ywca-taking-nominations-for-award-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montana-mint.com\/lastbestnews\/2018\/01\/ywca-taking-nominations-for-award-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"YWCA taking nominations for award programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"addboard alignleft wp-image-20945 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/lastbestnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screen-Shot-2018-01-11-at-11.50.20-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"336\" height=\"137\" \/><\/a>YWCA Billings is accepting nominations for Salute Honorees through 5 p.m. on Jan. 29.<\/p>\n<p>The Salute celebration has focused on the achievements of women for 34 years, and for the past three years has also honored a male who goes above and beyond in helping YWCA in ending violence against women and children.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The winners will be inducted into the distinguished group of YWCA Billlings\u2019 Salute Honorees at the Salute Celebration and Awards ceremony, scheduled for 5:30 to 8 p.m. on April 13 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in downtown Billings.<\/p>\n<p>YWCA is also accepting applications through Feb. 15 for its Salute to Students Scholarship awards program. Female students in our region who will be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for fall 2018 and who meet the criteria for the scholarship can apply. Finalists will awarded either a $1,500 or a $3,000 scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>The criteria and application forms for the Salute Honoree and Salute to Students Scholarship awards are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ywcabillings.org\/events\/\">www.ywcabillings.org\/events<\/a> and clicking on the application links.
