At 17, with so much trouble in past, hope finally lies ahead

Listening to everything that Faith Rumph has been through, it’s hard to believe — or maybe it’s just painful to acknowledge — that she is only 17. Born in Billings, she was removed from her biological parents at the age of 2, “because basically they were not fit to be parents,” she said. Children and mental health care: ‘It’s OK to ask for help’

Mariah Bryant has seen a lot of troubles in her 15 years. She was mostly neglected by her parents, who were into drugs and alcohol, and when she was 6 her mother dropped her off at Mariah’s grandmother’s house and never came back. Mariah has suffered from depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, and in school she was often subjected to bullying.
