A panel discussion on “Opioids: A Community Issue,” is scheduled for Sunday, April 29, at First United Methodist Church, 2800 Fourth Ave. N. in downtown Billings. Presented by the Mental Health Friends Network of First United Methodist Church, the event will feature a panel of experts discussing opioid use and abuse in our region. Food drive part of busy week for VISTA volunteers

This is a busy week for Shametrius Long. Long, who is in Billings with AmericCorps Volunteers in Service to America, was the main organizer of two events being held today to examine aspects of hunger and homelessness. I did something a little out of the ordinary for this church visit. It was my intention from the start to avoid special days like Easter or Christmas, in order to witness “normal” services.
