Dear readers: If you’ve got a few minutes, we invite you to take part in a survey about Last Best News.
The survey is being conducted by the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas, which is trying to better understand, in the words printed on the survey disclaimer, “who reads local news websites and about their readership and social habits.”
The school reached out to us and to other independent online newspapers across the country, asking if we’d like to take part.
We don’t see any downsides here. You can take the survey anonymously and you should be able to get through it in under 10 minutes. Results of the survey will be shared with Last Best News, and we will share them with our readers.
The disclaimer also includes this curious line: “The content of the survey should cause no more discomfort than you would experience in your everyday life.” We certainly hope that is the case, just as we hope that your everyday lives are mostly free from discomforts of all kinds.
Anyway, we would be grateful if you’d take part in the survey, which is to remain active for about two weeks. To take the survey, click here.
