Downtown Billings ushered in the new year with the second annual Downtown Countdown under Skypoint Wednesday night.
It was so cold that probably a good deal more than half the people who were on hand at midnight did not wander over from nearby bars, restaurants and businesses open for special events until just before the countdown began.
The nearby establishments were so packed that your Last Best News correspondent was turned away from the Crystal Lounge, a memory he will always cherish. At any rate, Happy New Year to one and all.
