The coolest ad campaign in Montana is out of White Sulphur Springs
Our mission at the Montana Mint is to bring best of Montana to the internet, so we need to talk about the most badass Montana-grown ad campaign we’ve seen in a long time.
The campaign is for the 5th annual Red Ants Pants Music Festival in White Sulphur Springs which takes place July 23-26 and will feature artists like the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lee Ann Womack, and Keb’ Mo’. The Mint has long been a fan of the festival (we devoted one of our playlists to it last year), and this campaign shows why: Montana talent using Montana-made products to hype up one of the best Montana summer events.
Over the next 12 weeks you are going to see a flood of giant red ants (pics below) as you travel on Montana highways, visit its iconic locations, and flip through the paper. The minimalist campaign includes billboards, Montana-made (!!) steel red ant signs, and yet-to-be-debuted newspaper ads which we’re told are awesome. It also features a dedicated twitter account from the festival’s ant mascot (@RedAntsPantsAnt) which encourages fans to submit pics using the hashtags #MontANTa and #RedAntsPantsMusicFestival.
Appearances by the ant are expected to grow over the next few months, and we will update the pics below as things roll out.
