Volbeat set to rock Missoula April 28
We know Montanans like to rock more than anyone, and this is especially true when Volbeat comes through town. If you missed Volbeat’s rock show the past two years in a row, don’t be sad…they are coming back to Missoula on April 28th! I saw Volbeat last April at a sold out show at the Wilma, and they more than delivered. Frontman and lead singer Michael Poulsen maintained great vocal quality live, and the overall energy of the band and the audience was electrifying in the theater. This year, Volbeat will be playing at the much larger Adams Center alongside Anthrax and Crobot.
You are missing out on a unique style of rock ‘n’ roll if you have never heard of Volbeat or think I’m talking about this Pokémon:
Volbeat hails from Denmark and plays hard rock influenced by “rockabilly” sound (think Breaking Benjamin mixed with Johnny Cash). Give it a listen:
Volbeat’s most recent album, Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies, was released in January of 2013. The album brings the classic Volbeat sound to old Western themes with songs titled “Doc Holiday,” “The Hangman’s Body Count,” and “Lonesome Rider”
According to 96.3 The Blaze (my favorite radio station) tickets are available for $36.50 at Griztix online or at Worden’s, the MSO Hub, the Southgate Mall information booth, the Source at the UC, and the Adams Center box office. The show is in a few days, so get your tickets ASAP, and the Mint will see you there!
